Just a Thought: Who do you say that I am? Jesus asks this question of his followers. The gospel writers in their fashion attempted to answer this most fundamental question. They said that Jesus was: Son of God, Son of Man, Divine Physician, king, prophet, bridegroom, light of the world, the vine, the high priest, the first born of creation, the bright morning star…. What concerns Jesus now is what your answer is to this question! Can we say with Saint Peter, ‘You are the Christ the Son of the living God’.

Let your Light shine
The most important thing about each of us
Is our capacity for goodness.
We can be a source of light.
We can have hands that can care,
eyes that can see,
ears that can hear,
tongues that can speak,
feet that can walk,
and above all hearts that can love.
Unfortunately, through weakness, selfishness or
cowardice, our light can be dimmed,
so that we become shadows of the people we could be.
Lord, help us to believe in our own goodness,
and to let the light of that goodness shine.
On seeing this light, others find their way,
and you will be glorified.
Wisdom: Life is a country that the old have travelled. Those who wish to travel that country successfully can learn the way from them.
Humour: For the first half of your life, people tell you what you should do; for the second half, they tell you what you should have done!
